Since 2020, the Calculated Genius STEMinist Scholarship has provided Chicago's most talented young women with more than just financial support — it has opened doors, built networks, and launched careers in engineering and computer science.

A new chapter for our STEMinists?
Through our ongoing outreach and support calls with our scholar community, one message came through loud and clear: the most impactful thing Calculated Genius could do is provide more than a one-time financial boost. Our scholars are in it for the long haul — and so are we. We believe that sustained investment in our scholars is the next evolution of what the STEMinist Scholarship could be and are currently investigating how to provide that support.
New applications are paused for this cycle as we build out this renewed model of support. We look forward to welcoming a new class of STEMinists in the future.
More than a scholarship
Every STEMinist scholar gains access to a lifelong network of engineers and technologists, mentorship, and other career supports to help them navigate and grow in STEM. Our mentor community spans nearly 60 professionals across the country, pairing scholars with leaders in their specific engineering disciplines.
