This March, we celebrated Women’s History Month all month long with a Women in STEM campaign that showcased current inspirational engineers and STEM leaders making an impact within their sphere of influence. Our community nominated over 26 women who shared their stories. Take a moment to learn more about their amazing contributions in science, technology, engineering and math by clicking on the photos below.

If you would like to be a part of the movement showcasing diversity in STEM, please share your story or nominate someone for a future monthly campaign here.

Our celebration culminated with The Power of One event which was held on Thursday, March 31. We would like to extend a special thank you to our speakers, Kimberly Moore, Devina Dhawan, Iris Alvarado Santiago, and Mayte de la Lanza for sharing their experiences of the challenges and rewards of oftentimes being “the only one” in the room. They highlighted that our students are capable of doing hard things, and there is power in being able to have a positive impact on others.

Thank you as well to the Motorola Solutions Foundation for their grant in support of our Class of 2021 Scholars, and the event sponsors whose support benefits the Class of 2022 STEMINIST Scholars: 5M Group, Assurance, Burns & McDonnell, HNTB, KDM Engineering and PNC Bank.
